(CNN) -- Some stunning buildings have appeared in American cities the past four years -- buildings, like the Aqua skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, that attest to the creativity of 21st-century architecture.

But there might be fewer of them in the near future, because the recession has forced many architects to tone down their ambition...

Enough said. But let’s break it down anyway...

LuminOre vs. Sheet Metal

As you know, sheet metal is heavy and expensive. LuminOre bonded to a substrate is extremely lightweight by comparison and will cost you much less money.

Another thing: even under optimum conditions, sheet metal applied to a substrate will never yield a perfect bond. Air gaps are inevitable – resulting in the condensation of moisture inside the structure, which in turn causes corrosion, followed inevitably by mold and rot. Not a good prognosis for the long-term durability of the job.

Unlike sheet metal, LuminOre Composite Metals form a perfect, airtight seal with the substrate, conforming tightly to even the finest sculptural detail. In fact, a LuminOre surface can withstand a force of 2,364 PSI without detaching from the metal substrate. Which is why we guarantee our LuminOre genuine metal surface for 30 years!

LuminOre vs. Paint

Metallic paint is not metal. There is no debating this fact. Metallic paint is a thick soup of liquid polymer with metal flakes floating inside. As the paint dries, the metal flakes float to the surface, creating only the impression of a metal surface. Even the best quality metallic paint job will last for only seven years. And for every single day of those seven years it will look like a paint job.

LuminOre Fabrication guarantees their LuminOre Composite Metal surface for 30 years!

LuminOre has the “wow factor.” Our technology will enable you to provide incredible quality and value to your clients – on time and on budget.
